My partner and I recently had a delightful stay at the Alcorn Guest House for a weekend getaway. The location was perfect - close to the city center but situated in a quiet and residential area, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The host, Lalita, was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and her delicious breakfast was a highlight of our stay. The room was spacious and airy, with a recently refurbished bathroom that was both clean and modern. We definitely plan to return to this lovely guest house in the future.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

I recently had a great stay at a charming guest house in Dundee. the hotel was conveniently located close to the city center, making it easy to explore all that Dundee has to offer. The regular bus service, just a short walk away, was an added bonus for getting around. Secondly, the staff at this hotel were friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout my stay. They went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed. Lastly, the rooms were well-appointed with ample storage space, which was a pleasant surprise. It's always refreshing when a hotel pays attention to detail and provides practical amenities.
All in all, my experience at this hotel was fantastic and I couldn't fault it.

We recently stayed at a guest house for a weekend and enjoyed the comfortable beds and the friendly staff who were flexible about check-in times. the breakfast was plentiful and we appreciated the option of choosing between two breakfast types. the location of the guest house was convenient and provided us with easy access to local events and attractions.
The shower was not the best as it was very slow and the extractor fan was noisy which was a bit frustrating. the room was small which made it uncomfortable, especially at night when the heating turned off at a specific time.

The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options including cereals and a full cooked breakfast. The location was convenient, with a short 2-minute walk to the nearest bus stop that had regular buses heading into the city center.
Everything was absolutely fine during my stay.

The breakfast was quite tasty, I enjoyed having a hot meal in the morning. The beds were also comfortable, which made it easier to sleep at night. The location was great too, being close to the city center and having easy access to public transportation.
My overall experience was pretty disappointing. The rooms were not well-maintained and smelled a bit musty.

The guest house is conveniently located close to a bus stop with regular buses servicing the city centre. the rooms, some of which are en suite, are immaculate and comfortable. the host is friendly, helpful and welcoming, offering delicious continental or traditional cooked breakfast options and providing personalized attention to guests' preferences. Car park is available on the street outside. the guest house has character and taste, providing an enjoyable, pleasant stay.
One downside is that not all rooms are en suite, but this is clearly stated in the description.

A delightful surprise!
I had the pleasure of staying at a well-run guest house recently and it was a delightful experience. The owner was incredibly welcoming and diligent, making sure that my stay was enjoyable from start to finish. The rooms, although not all en suite, were clean and comfortable. One thing that really stood out was the delicious full breakfast that was served each morning. It was the perfect way to start the day. The location of the guest house was fairly central, just a short distance from the city center. Parking was easy and free on the residential street outside. I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this guest house to anyone visiting the area.
